Description
Mirafi® MPM are glass fiber paving mats, that are integrally formed by intimately bonding bundles of glass fibers to a nonwoven paving fabric.
FEATURES
- Crack Reflection Performance: For Low to Medium Severity Cracking
- Equivalent Asphalt Thickness to Achieve the Same Performance: 2-4”
- Traffic Improvement: Increase traffic capacity for curb constrained pavements (MPM50 only)
- Cost Effectiveness: Much less expensive than thicker asphalt layers required to perform the same function. Suitable for full width overlay, local patching and joint repair.
- Moisture Barrier: Prevents water from penetrating into the road sub structure.
- Rehealing: High re-bonding potential due to the higher tack coat application rate than similar products
- Adhesive Bonding: Provides uniform bonding between old and new asphalt layers, so resists delamination where moving asphalt mixes are used.
- Installation: Easy to install on both milled surfaces, and on roads with curves.
- Milling and Recycling: Can be milled with conventional milling machines, and if saturated during installation is also recyclable.
- Chemical Resistance: Chemically resistant to road salt, or other chemical deicing agents.
