The Gr8 Guard is a high-performance, low-cost drainage inlet protection system designed by ERTEC Environmental Systems to keep sediment and debris out of grated storm drain inlets in paved areas. This system is installed above the ground, allowing for rapid installation and easy visual inspection without the need to remove heavy metal grates, which reduces the risk of installer injuries.
The product features a patent-pending design with an integrated filter core and an outer berm. The berm causes water to rise at least 1.5 inches before reaching the filter, allowing heavier sediment particles to settle out. It includes a high-flow bypass to minimize the chance of backups during intense rainfall events. Constructed from UV-stable materials, the system is durable, reusable, and designed to last for the duration of a multi-year project.
Note: The GGLD24x24 model belongs to the Light Duty (LD) series of the Gr8 Guard product line, specifically sized to fit grates up to 24 inch x 24 inch.
